It's hard to choose one artist that I am mostly attracted to. I like listening to many different genres and I love having a diversity of choice and a variety of albums to listen to. I have a few favourites, though, and here are some examples:
Katie Melua
I like Melua for her lyrics, which are smart and often poetic, as well as her melancholic melodies and ability to draw listeners' attention to music. It is music that matters and her interpretation of it, not the singer herself.
Yann Tiersen
An amazing French composer, multi-instrumentalist and an amazing performer on stage. I still remember his rock concert, which he gave a few years ago in Poznań.
Zaz
A French last year sensation. Zaz is a very talented singer and songwriter who is often compared to Edith Piaf as far as her voice is concerned, but to me she is unique and incomparable.
Jessie J
A very popular British singer these days. Her album is mostly pop-songs with Lily Allen-like lyrics, but she has a very strong and deep voice and that's what makes her stand out in the crowd of music artists.
"Price tag" always makes me smile and here you've got this song. Just beware: once you listen to it, you'll be humming it all day long! ;)
